Dubuque, Jackson counties eligible for FEMA assistance for June storm

NEWS STORM

A presidential major disaster declaration has been extended to include Dubuque and Jackson counties for damage caused by a June storm.

The two counties are now eligible for Federal Emergency Management Agency Public Assistance Program funding for damage sustained from storms that began June 16.

The funding has been approved for public assistance grants to help local governments and certain nonprofits cover the costs of debris removal, emergency protective measures and restoring public infrastructure.

The counties join the list of over two dozen eligible for the FEMA Public Assistance Program funding in Iowa.
