There is some bad economic news in Dubuque today.
The Duluth Trading Company distribution center on Chavenelle Road has announced it will be closing operations.
The news leaves 74 employees with a layoff which will be effective October 27th.
Those being laid off are invited to attend an upcoming hiring fair being hosted by Greater Dubuque Development Corporation and access-dubuque-jobs.com. The GDDC Hiring Fair is scheduled for September 5th from 2 to 5 at Steeple Square. The event was originally set up to assist former John Deere workers who have recently been laid off.
