The Dubuque Regional Airport has been awarded a nearly $4.9 million grant from the U.S. Department of Transportation to support the airport’s ongoing taxiway reconstruction project.
The grant will allow the airport to move on to a second planned phase of the reconstruction of Taxiway A, which connects the hangars served by the Dubuque Jet Center to the airport’s runways.
The total taxiway reconstruction project is planned to be completed over a total of six construction phases. The first phase is currently underway. The final phase is anticipated to be completed during the 2029 construction season. In total, 6,500 feet of taxiway is expected to be replaced.
