The city of Dubuque has some of its first designated bike traffic lanes painted on pavement.
Yesterday crews painted the lanes in the areas where a pilot project which part of the Dubuque Smart Parking and Mobility study is taking place.
The bike lane project is a combination of shared bike lanes and conventional painted bike lanes on 10th Street and an eastbound lane on 9th Street.
The city will be conducting a public information campaign on these bike lanes once crews complete them.
