The Dubuque County Sheriff’s Office has released the names of those involved and more details about an accident last night where a woman was seriously injured after being hit by a vehicle near Dubuque.
Authorities say the accident happened around 9:15 on Highway 3 near the Northwest Arterial. The investigation shows 58-year old Kelli Hayes of Dubuque walked out on the highway to help clean-up debris from an earlier accident and was hit by an oncoming vehicle driven by 22-year old Annieka Neumann of Dubuque. Hayes was taken by ambulance to Finley Hospital.
Authorities say the investigation will continue.
