
The identity of the person involved in a crash during a stunt at the Jackson County Fair has been identified by the Iowa State Patrol The posted report says 21 year old Matthew J. Blinks of Lisbon, Iowa, sustained serious injuries in the crash and was airlifted to the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics for treatment. The crash happened Sunday during the annual “Night of Destruction” at the Jackson County Fair. Blinks was attempting to jump his vehicle through a camper during a stunt and lost consciousness after hitting the camper. The vehicle then continued off the track, traveled across Iowa 62 and came to a rest after striking a residential shed. Blinks had to be extricated from the vehicle prior to the airlift.
