Dubuque Police arrested a man they say sold drugs to another person who later died. 36 year old Shon D. Perkins of 2629 Broadway Street was taken into custody just after 8 o’clock Monday night on a warrant charging a controlled substance violation. According to Court documents, Perkins has been the subject of an investigation by the Dubuque Drug Task Force following “credible and corroborated information” that he sold heroin and/or fentanyl that ultimately led to a suspected drug overdose death. The documents say Perkins sold three bags of fentanyl in June, to a confidential informant working for the task force as part of the investigation.
