Sunpass is the state of Florida’s prepaid toll program. The message provides a link to pay the fine, which leads you to a fraudulent web page. The department is warning that individuals should not click on the link to avoid being scammed out of their funds and private information. The department urges area residents to apply healthy skepticism to any unprompted message received from a supposed government entity.
