A 26 year old Dubuque man has been sentenced to 57 months in federal prison for illegally possessing a firearm.
Tanner S. Ruble received the sentence in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Iowa after pleading guilty to one count of being a felon in possession of a firearm. The sentence also includes three years of supervised release to follow. There is no parole in the federal system. According to State court documents Ruble was arrested in August 2023 in Dubuque after a shots-fired investigation in the 1000 block of Garfield Avenue.
