The Wahlert Softball team ended the season with a victory and the 3rd place trophy in Class 3A at the State Softball tournament in Fort Dodge.
The 3rd ranked Golden Eagles handled top ranked Benton Community 7-1 to win the consolation championship and finish the season 31-11.
Julia Roth added to her school record total with her 16th home run of the season drove in 2 runs and scored three times while scattering 5 hits in the pitching ring. Anna Roling added a pair of doubles and drove in two runs.
Williamsburg, the team which beat Wahlert to send them to the consolation game defeated Davenport Assumption for their 2nd 3A state title in a row.
