A Dubuque man been was arrested for reportedly pointing what turned out to be an air soft gun at two people in a parked vehicle.
Dubuque Police say the incident happened Monday evening shortly before 5 o’clock in the 15-hundred block of Washington Street.
Following an investigation police charged 53-year old Michael Perdue with assault while displaying a dangerous weapon and interference with official acts. A woman told police while she was sitting in the vehicle with another person, Perdue pulled alongside in another vehicle and began yelling at them, the woman then told police Perdue pointed the gun at them and drove off.
Police later stopped Perdue’s vehicle and during a search warrant found the airsoft gun and when he was taken into custody resisted arrest.
