A man charged in connection to a Dubuque murder has been sentenced to 25 years in prison for robbery.
Terry Valrie was one of several convicted in the February 2023 shooting of Lonnie Burns. He pled guilty to the murder charge back in April.
Aaron Johnson was sentenced to life in prison for murder and Jermaine Bolds was sentenced to 50 years for second-degree murder. Kenneth Reed pleaded guilty to robbery and was sentenced to 10 years. Tiarha Godwin pleaded guilty to being an accessory and was given a two-year sentence.
Charges were dismissed against a sixth person in the case.
