A Dubuque man faces charges after he allegedly assaulted a woman with baseball bat and punching another woman.
Dubuque police say 44-year old Tyrone Russell was arrested early Sunday morning following the incident late
Saturday night in the 32-hundred block of Getty Terrace. Russell is charged with domestic assault with a dangerous weapon, assault causing injury and child endangerment.
Authorities say one of the women who had her 1 month old in her vehicle had a baseball bat for protection from Russell after an earlier disturbance with him. The woman got out of the vehicle, and he then reportedly pushed her down, grabbed the bat and started hitting her causing injury. The woman’s mother then approached Russell and he punched her. He ran away from the area, but was located by police in a vehicle traveling on Kaufmann Avenue and placed him under arrest.
