The National Weather Service say today is another day to closely monitor weather conditions.
First a Heat Advisory will be in effect this afternoon for much of the area with hot and humid weather with heat index values of 100 to 110 degrees expected
Forecasters then say there is an Enhanced Risk, or level 3 of 5 for severe weather in much of the area this afternoon into this evening. There will be a potential for a damaging line of storms developing with the primary threat being damaging winds. There also is a threat for heavy rain, hail, and a few tornadoes. It appears the best chance for severe weather in the area will be between 5 and 9 this evening.
