Rural East Dubuque Fire Monday Night Cause Heavy Damage

A fire just outside of East Dubuque did heavy damage to a home and attached garage.

Around 6:30 Monday evening, firefighters from Menominee Dunleith, East Dubuque, Galena, Jamestown (Kieler) and Hazel Green were called to the home to the home 8861 North Badger Road.  Fire chief Cal Cain tells the Telegraph Herald all the people in the home and pets got out safely and there were no injuries.  Cain said the fire started in an attached garage to truss space under the roof. He told the T-H firefighters were on the scene until nearly 1 o’clock this morning. The cause remains under investigation.
