A woman was arrested by Dubuque Police and faces numerous charges after assaulting her boyfriend and then breaking into his aparment.
Police say 26-year old Amelia Carius was charged early Thursday morning for the incident which occurred at the apartment in the 800 block of Rhomberg shortly before midnight.
According to police, Carius had assaulted her boyfriend who got away from her and locked door to the apartment, but Carius reportedly kicked in the door and smashed a window. Police say some children inside witnessed the event.
Police also say when they arrived with Carius at the law enforcement center, she refused to get out of the squad car, then kicked and spit on an officer while being removed.
