The July 3rd Radio Dubuque- Jaycees Airshow and Fireworks will take place Wednesday evening with show central at A.Y. McDonald Park.
With tens of thousands of people in the area, getting around in traffic can become troublesome.
Dubuque Police Department Information Officer Luke Bock:
Vehicle traffic will not be released for up to 45 minutes after the fireworks conclude to all pedestrian traffic to clear the area. Bock say construction work taking place on US 61/151 near the approach to the Wisconsin Bridge shouldn’t slow down traffic going home.
Safety for everyone is another concern; Bock says there will be a large amount of officers in place in the area.
