John Deere has announced 100 employees at their Dubuque Works facility will be among 600 across three factories to be laid off effective August 30th.
The 500 others receiving layoff notice will be from plants in Davenport and East Moline.
According Deere officials, the layoffs are being made following reduced demand for products from those factories, with industry sales expected to continue declining.
Impacted employees will receive monetary and healthcare benefits.
