Dubuque Tabs Evan Dixon as Head Coach

Saints

The Dubuque Fighting Saints have announced Evan Dixon as the seventh head coach in the organization’s Tier-I history.

After joining the Fighting Saints’ coaching staff in 2019 as an assistant coach, Dixon has remained on the Saints staff through three different head coaching tenures. Prior to the 2022-23 season under Kirk MacDonald, Dixon was elevated to the team’s associate head coach.

With his promotion, Dixon takes over as a head coach for the first time in his coaching career. He began his coaching career in 2017 as an assistant coach at his alma mater, the University of Wisconsin – Stevens Point.

Dixon succeeds MacDonald who earlier this week was named head coach of the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins of the American Hockey League, the top farm club for the NHL’s Pittsburgh Penguins.
