Dead & Company are adding additional dates to their ‘Dead Forever’ 2024 residency at the Sphere in Las Vegas. The band have added six new dates to their previously-announced 18 shows, writing on social media: “ADDITIONAL DATES ADDED
While Dead & Company previously completed its “final tour” in July 2023, last week the band first posted a teaser clip on social media which read: “In 2023, Dead & Company played their final tour. But there are other ways to make sure the music never stops. And it’s gonna be a ball.” The group then later confirmed the residency, posting: “…Picture a bright blue ball just spinning, spinning free. Dizzy with eternity.”
The ‘Dead Forever’ residency will kick off May 16 and run through June 22, and will feature “never-before-seen visual storytelling from Dead & Company, providing fans with the ultimate connection to the music through these innovative and immersive shows.” Dead & Company consists of former Grateful Dead members Bob Weir and Mickey Hart, along with John Mayer, Oteil Burbridge and Jeff Chimenti. Bill Kreutzmann was also a member of the band, but did not take part in the final tour.
Dead & Company will be the third band to stage a residency at the Sphere, following U2 and Phish, who have an upcoming residency at the Sphere that begins in April. General on-sale ticketing for the Dead & Company residency will begin Friday, February 9th at 10am PT. For details, head here.
