After his original Pyramids of Giza show in Egypt was cancelled, Travis Scott has announced the new location to hold the first show for his new LP Utopia — Circus Maximus in Rome, Italy on Aug. 7.  Scott wrote on Instagram: “FIRST STOP. UTOPIA LIVE AT CIRCUS MAXIMUS. WE OUT !!!!! TIX ON SALE AUGUST 3 10AM CET  TRAVISSCOTT.COM/LIVE”

The initial Utopia event was canceled after Live Nation released a statement claiming that show’s design had “complex production” issues, writing on Twitter: “We regret to inform you that the Utopia show, originally scheduled for July 28th at the Pyramids of Giza in Egypt is cancelled. Unfortunately, despite highest efforts, complex production issues meant that the show could not be constructed in the desert. We understand that this news is disappointing and not the outcome any of us desired.”

Circus Maximus is an ancient chariot racing stadium in Rome, which has been turned into a massive entertainment venue. It is also the title of Scott’s new movie.

Tickets are now on sale for the Circus Maximus show; head to the rapper’s website for information: travisscott.com/live.
